The National Historical Museum, to mark the centenary of the victorious Balkan Wars, a landmark event in Modern Greek history, organizes the exhibition:

"Balkan Wars 1912-1913. The road to victory"

The opening will take place on

The exhibits belong to the collections of the National Historical Museum. Visitors will have the opportunity to see uniforms and personal belongings of the Wars’ protagonists, weapons and flags, spoils of Turkish and Bulgarian origin, maps, charts and lithographs. Of particular interest are the documents, personal diaries and photographs highlighting the daily events of the Balkan Wars.

The drawings of painter Thalia Flora-Karavia form a separate section. Flora-Karavia is the author of a long time travelogue in towns and villages in Western Macedonia and Epirus following the Greek Army, constantly recording her impressions, as correspondent of the Alexandrian Ephemeris newspaper of expatriates.

Στο πλαίσιο της έκθεσης πραγματοποιείται, έως το τέλος του 2013, εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα, κατόπιν συνεννοήσεως, για μαθητές της ΣΤ΄τάξης του Δημοτικού και της Γ΄ Γυμνασίου.

Επίσης, δυνατότητα ξενάγησης στην έκθεση έχουν και ομάδες και Σύλλογοι έως 20 άτομα, ύστερα από συνεννόηση.

Τόσο τα εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα όσο και οι ξεναγήσεις είναι δωρεάν.
